2006 IHRA Division 5 Summit Super Series Champion!!!!
September 29, 2006 We ran in the Summit Super Series Division 5 runoff race. It was a 15 car field of the highest ranking racers in IHRA Division 5. Each racer needed to qualify for the race by becoming the P.R. champion of their home track. I qualified for the race by having the highest P.R. record ay Byron Dragway. My record was 23 wins and 7 losses. You can see the stats on the IHRA website. The day started having a meeting with all of the qualifiers for the race. We all introduced ourselves and talked about the new Summit Super Series format. After the meeting we had time to prepare our race cars. All cars received one time run then we went straight into eliminations. The race consisted of four rounds. After winning all four rounds the entire Byron Team congratulated me in the pits.
